Call for papers<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span><\/span>Romanian Journal of Indian Studies<\/i><\/span><\/span> invites researchers and academics to contribute to the tenth issue (2026).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Contributions are welcomed in the form of studies or book reviews. The materials will be accompanied by an <\/span><\/span>Abstract <\/i><\/span><\/span>(10 lines) <\/span><\/span>\u2013<\/span><\/span> except for book reviews <\/span><\/span>\u2013<\/span><\/span> a list of up to ten <\/span><\/span>Keywords<\/i><\/span><\/span>, and by the author\u2019s <\/span><\/span>bio<\/span><\/span>-note. The language in which materials will be published is English. The deadline for the submission of the papers is <\/span><\/span>1 September 2026<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span><\/span>Romanian Journal of Indian Studies<\/i><\/span><\/span> is affiliated to <\/span><\/span>Cluj Center for Indian Studies<\/i><\/span><\/span>, Babe\u0219-Bolyai University Cluj-Napoca.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Cluj Center for Indian Studies <\/i><\/span><\/span>is dedicated to the research of Indian traditions, philosophies, languages and religions that render India as one of the most interesting and exciting cultures of the world. The center\u2019s main objective is the promotion of Indian culture and its better comprehension through complete programs of education, research and publishing<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Cluj Center for Indian Studies <\/i><\/span><\/span>developed academic cooperation with well-known universities from India (among them: University of Calcutta, Jadavpur University Kolkata, University of Delhi, Indian Institute of Technology Indore, Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay or Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad) and similar centers from Europe (Centre for Modern Indian Studies (CeMIS), Georg-August Universit\u00e4t G\u00f6ttingen, Germany, and Institute of Oriental Studies, Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland). <\/span><\/span>Cluj Center for Indian Studies<\/i><\/span><\/span> is open to all those who wish to get acquainted with at least a part of the incredible culture of India.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Among <\/span><\/span>Cluj Center for Indian Studies<\/i><\/span><\/span> activities are invited lectures on Indian culture, history, philosophy, literature, religions; workshops of Sanskrit, Bengali, and Hindi; courses of history, culture and civilization; conferences, seminars, summer schools, book and film presentations; exhibitions of photography, documentaries, concerts of Indian classic music or dance recitals. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Romanian Journal of Indian Studies<\/i><\/span><\/span> (Cluj University Press) represents a platform of disseminating the lectures hosted by the Center, as well as the results of the young Romanian (and not only) researchers with interests in Indian studies area. <\/span><\/span>Romanian Journal of Indian Studies<\/i><\/span> is abstracted and indexed in C.E.E.O.L. (Central and Eastern European Online Library GmbH). <\/span>From August 18, 2025, the <\/span>Romanian Journal of Indian Studies<\/i><\/span> is also indexed in ERIH PLUS. European Reference Index for the Humanities and Social Sciences.<\/span><\/p>\n
